How Your Jewelry is Made
We take a broader, more advanced approach to coin jewelry. While many makers constrain themselves to domestic coins or basic hammering, we integrate decades of fine jewelry experience with modern technology.
The Sourcing: We source circulated coins from around the world—many acquired directly during our own travels or rescued from vintage lots. We specifically hunt for coins with the right diameter, durable alloys, and fascinating edge details.
The Transformation: Transforming a coin into a ring is a delicate balance of metallurgy and art. Using specialized industrial metalforming, we shape the coin into a ring without striking it with a hammer. The result? Zero hammer marks and absolute preservation of the coin's original, intricate details.
FAQs
What sizes do you offer?
1
We offer standard ring sizes from 5 to 13. Please note that because we use real coins, some smaller coins cannot be stretched all the way to a size 13 without compromising the design.
Do you do custom sizing?
2
Yes! We offer custom sizing on our rings. We can also create custom supplemental coin jewelry, like pendants.
What materials are used?
3
Because our coins come from all over the world, the metal alloys vary by country and denomination. We carefully select coins whose alloys can withstand the forming process while retaining their beautiful details. For all of our pendants, the supplemental metal used is solid sterling silver.
